What was Summer?
Remember, salty waves enveloping your hot sticky body. Carelessly splashing and diving deep beneath the ocean for the few seconds? Nothing mattered except relaxing then crawling to the surface eyes glistening and gasping for air.
That was Summer.
What was Summer?
Remember, paddling out through the enormous but frightfully magnificent waves, sea spray lathering your hair, then flying down the green face of a wave wind slapping your pink lips freedom and exhilaration in your clammy hands, white foamy water crashing down on you cradling you to the boiling hot sand. Disbelief plastered on your face.
That was Summer.
What was Summer?
Remember, the exuberant fireworks leaping off the Sydney Harbour bridge, then dancing and frolickling away only for others to show off their dazzling personality each shimmering and sparkling bigger and better than the last, giving 2014 a last goodbye. Then suddenly silence a bird chirped, car wheels squealed on the tar seal until a gradually growing cheer erupted breaking the poignant air like glass shattering on the pavement.
