I jumped with excitement as the door opened. It was Mother and Father they were finally home from their holiday in Japan. They left in 1911 it has been 2 years. I greeted them into the house. They each had a large leather suit case. Frank the butler carried them to their room. He almost fell down the stairs several times.
We sat down at the table for dinner two of the maids Melony and Fiona had cooked the pork and Frank brought it out as per usual. With our pork we had potatoes and peas, pretty standard stuff.
We talked for hours about their trip by the fireplace after dinner it was so interesting to hear about all the different people they met. Father pulled out a gift for me. It was an old vase from ancient times said to protect you from demons. It was a dark grey, green colour and it had lots of runes and patterns on it. I thanked him and took it to my room. I put on my pajamas and hopped into bed. I closed my heavy eyelids.
The vase was the last thing I saw that night.

Maxwell just went to bed. I believe he liked our gift. I said goodnight to Victoria and she headed upstairs to bed for she was tired after the journey home. I walked through the corridors of infinity until I finally reached my reading room. I grabbed a book from the shelf and began to read myself to sleep.

The whispering was what woke me. Strong winds struck my face, but the window was not open. I eyed the room scanning each dark corner and every inch of the ground. There was nothing only the continuous sound of whispering but not just from one person from hundreds. There was nothing. The whispering faded so I closed my eyes.
I woke with a start a strong blast of air hit my stomach. In front of me stood a fuzzy shape of a man he did not speak nor did he breathe. A blade like shape appeared in his hand. I screamed. The fuzzy man thrusted the blade into my stomach. I took my last breathe as my head fell back into my pillow, then it all went black.

A loud scream echoed down the hall. It was Master Maxwell! I ran into his room so did the maids and the master and everyone else. It was late at night. There in the bed lay Maxwell in a sheets stained red. He had been murdered! But by who?

I opened the door to the child's bedroom there he lay in his bed stained red. I searched the area for the murder weapon. No where it was no where to be found. Someone did this and I'm going to find out who.
Three months gone by but still I had not found out what happened. No one in the house seems to be guilty. Today I'm going to question the parents for the last time.
I finished interrogating the parents it turns out that they bought the kid a vase an ancient vase. Maybe I have been looking at it wrong maybe it was not someone but something. Because there was blood but there was no opening wound or anything.
It doesn't make sense I thought. I decided to check out the vase. I was getting tired it was late. I opened the door to the bedroom. I couldn't believed what met my eyes. There stood a furry character and the vase lid open. I understood.
