The police sirens blare out at me and the ground looks as gloomy as the sky, dust dominated the earth as I walked along the sidewalk. The flowing, summer frock I was wearing once used to be white with bright, yellow flowers but now it’s gray with almost black flowers. There was one place I always go to when i’m feeling a bit down, the place with the giant water fountain and the rustling leaves slowly but swiftly falling down. That was the park. “ Finally, i’m home” I bellowed out to myself, well at least it felt like home. I sat down at the old, creaky, wooden bench, small drops of water cascaded down onto my dress and my shoes as I had my hands over my head. Why did the world have to be like this? Just then from the corner of my eye, I could see something green just under the fountain. Wiping my watery eyes with the bottom of my dress, I headed to the first colourful thing I had seen in years. my heart was beating as fast as jet, and my legs were trembling like there was an earthquake going on. What if it was something bad? Something poisonous? Something explosive? Maybe a trap? I was fearless, so I approached the thing and picked it up from the little bit of dirt. No, it couldn’t be, but it was, it was a plant! it looked like it was about to wither away into the thin air, so I moved quickly and buried it into the soil again. This terrible world might have one more chance.
